Ayatollah Sobhani: Ayatollah Ghorbani Left Behind Valuable Scientific Services

Qom – The Shia marja' expressed condolences on the passing of Ayatollah Zain al-Abedin Ghorbani Lahiji and praised the valuable scientific and cultural services of this scholar and tireless writer of the seminary.

Qom - The Marja of Taqlid Shiites, condoling the passing away of Ayatollah Zainul Abdin Ghorbani Lahijani, honored the valuable scientific and cultural services of this scholar and hardworking writer of the seminary.

According to the report of Ambassador of Arjan, Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani from the great authority of Taqlid, in a message expressing his regret over the death of Ayatollah Zainul Abdin Ghorbani Lahijani, he expressed his condolences to the people of Gilan and the survivors of the deceased.

It is stated in this message: The passing away of the wise scholar, Hazrat Ayatollah Zainul Abdin Ghorbani Lahijani (may God bless him and grant him peace), caused regret and emotion.

Continuing this message, Ayatollah Sobhani described the deceased as one of the hard-working scholars and writers of the seminary, who left valuable scientific and cultural services.

He also condoled this loss to the noble people of Gilan and other survivors of Ayatollah Ghorbani, and prayed to God Almighty for the deceased to be exalted and reunited with God's parents, and for the survivors, patience and reward.

Ayatollah Zainul Abdin Ghorbani, the former representative of the religious jurist in Gilan province and the former Friday imam of Rasht, died yesterday at the age of 93 due to illness and old age in a hospital in Lahijan.
