Aini: "Seedling of Hope" campaign is being implemented in Kurdistan

Sanandaj - The Kurdistan Provincial Construction Mobilization Officer announced the implementation of the "Seedling of Hope" campaign with the aim of promoting tree planting culture and green space development with the participation of executive bodies and jihadi groups.

In a conversation with Mehr reporter, referring to the start of the "Seedling of Hope" campaign in the province, Colonel Ahmed Aini said: "This campaign will be implemented with the participation of various institutions, including natural resources, cultural heritage and tourism, agricultural jihad, and municipalities, and in line with the fulfillment of the Supreme Leader's recommendations regarding the promotion of tree planting."

Referring to the main axes of this campaign, he added: the implementation of the plan to plant one billion saplings in five years, the development of the green belt on the side of the roads, the general promotion of tree planting culture and the development of wood farming are among the axes of this plan, which is followed with the cooperation of executive bodies and people's capacities in the province.

The official of Basij Construction of Kurdistan province continued: The plan to plant one billion saplings is one of the central plans of this campaign, and the construction mobilization and disenfranchisement of the Beitul-Maqdis Corps of the province will participate in its implementation in cooperation with other government agencies.

Development of wood farming using job creation facilities

Referring to the capacities of mobilization for job creation, Aini said: Wood cultivation is another focus of this campaign, and we are trying to support qualified applicants to work in this field by using the capacity of job creation facilities.

He clarified: Using the unused lands of government agencies, barracks and schools for planting saplings is one of the other planned plans in this plan to utilize the available land capacity for the development of green space.

The head of Kurdistan province's Construction Mobilization stated that the main goal of the "Seedling of Hope" campaign is to transform tree planting into a general, continuous and popular culture and said: "To achieve this goal, we must use the capacity of the people and jihadi groups as a valuable asset along with the executive bodies."

Aini pointed out: promoting tree planting in people's homes, workplaces and living environment can provide a wider participation of citizens in preserving the environment and developing vegetation and can be effective in facing water stress and climate challenges.

He said about the role of building mobilization in the implementation of this campaign: the main role of building mobilization is mobilizing and coordinating the capacity of related institutions and using manpower and jihadi groups to implement sapling planting operations.

Aini added: In this context, natural resources can play a role in determining the type of saplings, the method of planting, and holding training courses for jihadi groups, and municipalities, agricultural jihad, and other related institutions can also provide a better implementation of this plan by providing suitable fields.

He emphasized: The cooperation and synergy of executive bodies, jihadi groups and people can help to institutionalize the tree planting culture and realize the environmental goals of the "Seedling of Hope" campaign in Kurdistan province.
