Technical comparison of Tiba and Saina / Which economic car is more worth buying?

In Iran's economic car market, Tiba and Saina are the two most demanded Saipa products, which are always in the same price range, and many buyers hesitate between these two models. Both cars are developed on the basis of a common platform and have many similarities in terms of technical structure, but differences in design, features, ride quality and equipment have made Saina known as the more updated version of Tiba.

Technically, both cars use the 1.5-liter M15 engine. This engine produces about 87 horsepower and 128 Nm of torque, and its power is transmitted to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Therefore, in terms of acceleration, power and traction, there is no noticeable difference between Tiba and Saina, and the performance of both is almost the same for daily use and urban driving.

The situation is similar in the fuel consumption sector. The average fuel consumption of both cars is about 7 liters per 100 km, and their maintenance cost is not significantly different due to the use of a common engine. Spare parts for both cars are abundantly available in the market and their repair costs are lower than many domestic cars.

The biggest difference between Tiba and Saina can be seen in the design and quality of the cabin. Tiba has a simpler and older design, and its dashboard is at a lower level in terms of ergonomics and material quality. On the other hand, Saina conveys a better feeling to the driver and passengers with a redesigned dashboard, a new steering wheel, a more modern dashboard and an updated cabin design.

In terms of amenities, Saina has the upper hand. The new versions of this car are equipped with features such as a touch screen, rear camera, parking sensor, electric steering wheel, audio system control from the steering wheel, electric windows, better air conditioning and in some models, stability control system (ESC). Tiba also offers basic features such as electric windows, central locking and manual ventilation, but its equipment level is noticeably lower.

In terms of ride quality, both cars share the same suspension, but the Saina offers a smoother ride and better control than the Tiba thanks to tweaks to the suspension settings and power steering. Of course, their difference is not so much and both cars are mostly designed for urban driving.

In terms of safety, both cars are equipped with two airbags, ABS brakes and EBD, but the new Saina versions are equipped with more safety equipment such as electronic stability control, traction control and hill start assist system; Features that are not available in many Tiba versions.

In the buying and selling market, Tiba still has many customers due to its lower price and economical maintenance cost. However, the Saina is in higher demand due to its newer design, more features, and more up-to-date look, and usually has a lower price drop than the Tiba.

If a lower price and a lower purchase cost are your main priority, Tiba is still considered one of the most economical options on the market. But if you consider more amenities, more up-to-date design, better cabin quality and more complete safety equipment, Saina will be a more logical and valuable choice; For this reason, many car market experts consider Saina to be an evolved version of Tiba.
