Collin Gosselin, star of 'Jon & Kate', claims his mother zipped him up and locked him in a basement room when he was a child.

Collin Gosselin claims Kate Gosselin's mother zipped him up, locked him in a basement room, and placed him in an institution a few days before his 12th birthday.

Colin Gosselin has reflected on the alleged abuse he suffered by his mother Kate Gosselin.

Colin, 22, claimed in an interview with ABC that his mother made him sleep in a locked room in the basement to isolate him from his father, Jon Gosselin.

She claimed that one of her teachers noticed her earlobe was swollen, which Callie said happened after Kate dragged her out of the room during an offensive incident by her ear.

"My teacher saw ... and then I talked to my guidance counselor and told them about it," Colleen said. And my mom was not too happy that I talked about it.

He was eventually expelled from school in the fourth grade and recalled being "too afraid to say anything" when child protective services questioned the abuse allegations.

Colin Gosselin is sending Kate's mum a secret signal after claiming she's been 'spiraled' by her future memoir.

Gosselin admitted she wasn't sure about life before the cameras arrived at her home to film her family, telling the outlet: "Simply put, my whole life that I've lived has been a lie."

After one escape attempt, Colleen claimed her mother, zipped her up, and locked her in her basement room.

After announcing son Colin's memoir, Kate Gosselin called him a "monster" in social media comments.

"He had my wrists crossed ... and he grabbed my ankles, and the black zippers, and tied my hands and feet together," she claimed to the outlet.

Days before her 12th birthday, Callie claimed that Kate kicked her out of her home and placed her in an institution. He claimed to have been "pumped" and had little contact with his family after that.

"They told me it's for your own good, I threatened my mother's income, I threatened her image, and people will do anything to protect their reputation, especially my mother," he recalled before confessing.

Kate claimed over the years that Callie suffered from a number of behavioral challenges. Colin wrote that he claimed he had autism, bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder, but an independent psychological evaluation apparently revealed he had none of those diagnoses.

"Everybody said, 'Were you surprised when you got this?' He said, 'No.' Knowing that, I just needed it on paper."

In a sit-down with Jay Shetty ahead of the release of her memoir, "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood," Colin claimed her first memory was when a film crew took over her house.

"We were rolling every day, I mean at least the majority of the week, every week of the year," he said.

"And they were always there. There were always lights and cameras. And then when it got big enough, it went from...you know, the big family in the little house to the big house."

Gosselin recalled the first sign that life "wasn't normal for a kid" when her parents divorced.

"It was never normal," Gosselin noted. "It should never be something where you're exploiting children, where you're filming them. But the first time I remember that... realizing it was when my parents got divorced and I kind of heard that my dad didn't want that for his kids."

"They do things like take pictures and bring like puppies and say guys, play with the puppies, have fun, pet them. When they've taken all the pictures, we still want to play with the puppies... and they take the puppies."

While Kate has remained silent on the allegations, she defended herself on social media over the summer.

The former reality TV star responded to comments on her TikTok posts that addressed several of Callie's claims, claiming that she "forced" her and her seven siblings apart and "pitted them against each other" as they were growing up.

If you are 100% sure that the accusations against you are false, my suggestion is to take him to court and sue him for defamation! A fan asked and she replied: "I can't be a public figure BC. The rules are different unfortunately. Or I do!"

"Malice is one of the hardest things to prove," he wrote in another post. I tried :(. The rules are different for ppl in public."

Gosselin also shared that she consulted a high-powered Los Angeles attorney in the past "when other people were posting crazy things," and that's what they told her. "Courts don't respect that if you're in the public eye :(" he added.

She later responded to another comment saying, "Unfortunately, only parents with a mentally ill child understand! It's so hard and I'm learning that ppl have no understanding unless they've been through it themselves."
