A big and important event for Alireza Biranvand in Asia

Alireza Biranvand, the goalkeeper of the Iranian national team, was nominated for the best player of the year in Asia in 2026.

According to Ambassador Arjan, the Asian Football Awards Committee has officially announced the list of candidates for the title of the best player of the year in various fields.

In this list, Iranian players are present in different divisions, which shows the high level of performance of the country's athletes on the continent.

In the main section of the best player of the year in Asia, the competition between the top stars of the continent is going on, with the following names on the nomination list:

Firas Al-Barikan (Saudi Arabia)

Biranvand was nominated as the best player of the old continent in 2026 after shining in the composition of the Iranian national football team in Asia. This is the third time that this goalkeeper's name is included in the list of the best player of the year in Asia.

In other sectors, Iranian players have been able to maintain their position at the international level. In the category of the best futsal player in Asia, the names of Hossein Tayibi and Saeed Ahmad Abbasi are among the main candidates. Also, in the women's coach of the year category, Marzieh Jafari from Iran has been nominated for this award.

According to the announcement of the organizing committee, the winners of these awards will be announced on November 19 (corresponding to November 28) in an official ceremony held in Thailand.

Also, the Iranian Football Federation was nominated for the special award of the president of the AFC, along with the Japanese and Australian federations.
