With a new directive, Iranian customs stopped the numbering of Iranian cars abroad until the final value is determined and the ID is registered in the TSC system. This action affects the import process.
This stop has been made in order to create more transparency in the import process and accurate calculation of import duties and customs duties. The Ministry of Security has announced that the relevant working group will finalize the valuation of these cars within the next month at the latest. This decision postpones the clearance and registration process until the administrative procedures are completed.
The reason for stopping the numbering of the cars of Iranians abroad
The Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced this action in line with the implementation of its new directive for the valuation and clearance of cars. The main goal is to determine a clear and definite basis for the valuation of cars and the accurate calculation of entry fees and other legal fees before sending the information for registration. The Ministry of Security has committed to complete the process of determining the value of the cars included in this directive within the next month at the latest.
The temporary entry of passenger cars has been extended until the end of December
The sale of imported cars without stock in customs was banned
The import tariff for zero kilometer cars to free zones was announced in 1405
The main condition for continuing the numbering and clearance of the car
According to the customs circular, the executive customs will be allowed to send declaration information for numbering only after determining and finalizing the value of the cars by the relevant working group and creating an identifier in the customs value information system (TSC). This means that it is not enough to complete the customs formalities for the registration of the license plate, and the registration of the final ID and the definitive value of the car must also be done. The collection of entry fees and taxes is also based on these IDs, which affects the final cost of clearance.
