Jacob Misiorowski reacts to the Milwaukee Brewers' win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Series.

Those who thought the Los Angeles Dodgers and their massive payroll were going to waltz into Milwaukee and run over the Brewers were wrong. This is the team that won 103 games this season for the best record in baseball.

Now that October and its bright lights are here, they're not forgetting how to play. They have plenty of talent for that, and they proved it in a 2-1 win in Game 1 of the NLCS.

The lights aren't exactly bright for the Brew Crew or their super fan, Amy Williams, better known as Front Row Amy. They showed up, proved they weren't going to be overrun and played a tight Game 1 while he went viral.

Jakub Misiorowski was the Brewers' ace on the mound. He gave up one run in 4 1/3 innings of work before giving up the bullpen to hold it the rest of the way, which they did.

They needed just two runs, and that's what they scored in the bottom of the ninth. All you have to do in October is win. No matter how, just score more runs than the other team.

The Brewers lost 2-1 in NLCS Game 1 as the Lass offense with runners in scoring position.

Mysiorovsky did his job. The bulls did their work, the bats did their work. And Front Row Amy was at the plate, as she has been for most Brewers games. That's winning in baseball.

Now is not the time to pump the brakes. The work is not finished

The Dodgers are back-to-back World Series champions for a reason. You have to be ready in every single game of this series to match the intensity of the next season.

I've seen enough baseball to know that getting ready for the rigors of the postseason won't be a problem for Front Row Amy. He appears every time outside.

If you are a fan of it, you should worry about it. That said, they are off to a good start in the series. They're not the same team that got swept by the Dodgers in the NLCS last season.
