BYD Considers Building Factory in France
BYD is exploring the possibility of building a factory in France to strengthen its presence in the European market and earn the trust of French customers as a local brand. The post 'BYD Considers Building Factory in France' first appeared on Safir Arjan.
According to Ambassador Arjan, Stella Lee, Executive Vice President of BYD, announced: France is one of the final options for developing the production activities of this automobile manufacturer in Europe.
The executive vice president of BYD said: The goal is for French people to consider BYD as a French company and to become interested in this brand. He also added: This Chinese car manufacturer will try to set up its second and third factories in Europe.
These statements are made in the context that BYD is preparing to open its factory in Hungary by the end of this year.
On the other hand, EU trade commissioner Maroš Sefcovic announced last Friday: China has agreed to reduce the export of hybrid cars to the EU.
Emphasizing the company's commitment to the European market, Stella Lee said: BYD plans to become a local company in every region of the world.
Expansion of BYD sales network in France
BYD currently has a wide distribution network in France and cooperates with major car groups in this country. These collections are responsible for the sale and after-sales service of BYD cars in the main cities of France.
The company announced in July that it has about 115 dealers in France and continues to expand its sales network through cooperation with local dealers. According to the statistics announced by BYD, the company registered 13,935 passenger cars in France in the first half of 2026, which is 136% more than the same period last year.
According to Euronews, the expansion of BYD's activities in France coincides with a significant increase in the registration of electric vehicles in the European Union and in a situation where fuel prices have reached unprecedented levels.
