Interview with Sports Lawyer on the New Controversy Over Esteghlal Star's Contract; New Documents Also Fail to Prove Asani's Contract Termination!

The case of Yasser Asani's contract termination with Esteghlal, which has long become one of the most controversial legal disputes in Iranian football, is currently being reviewed simultaneously by domestic committees and the AFC.

According to Sport Seh, the case of termination of Yasir Asani's contract with Esteghlal Club has entered a new stage; On the one hand, Ambassador Arjan announced today that the decision of the appeals committee was not communicated regarding the complaint of Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak and the return of this case to the proceedings. Just hours after this player shined again with Esteghlal's shirt, this time in the Asian Elite League and a valuable victory against Qatar's Al Gharafa.

However, Adel Abedjoy, a sports lawyer, despite seeing the new documents, still emphasizes his previous position and believes that these documents have nothing to do with the official registration of contract termination.

In his report today, Ambassador Arjan wrote that the appeal committee's decision regarding Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak's protest has not yet been communicated to these two clubs! According to this report, the protest of these two clubs was rejected earlier and the initial verdict of acquitting Esteghlal and Asahi was confirmed, but now the case has returned to the appeals committee. Ambassador Arjan considered this incident to be related to AFC's request for more documents as well as dealing with Persepolis' new documents; However, the final and official decision about this stage has not yet been announced.

Abedjoy: AFC has nothing to do with our appeal!

Adel Abedjoy, a sports lawyer, in a conversation with Sports Three about the possibility of a connection between the follow-up of the Asian Football Confederation and the return of the case to the appeals committee, said: AFC has nothing to do with our appeals committee. As a rule, the appeal should not have anything to do with the AFC; However, in our football, anything is possible!"

He also explained about the possibility of consolidating the cases and examining the complaints raised against Esteghlal and Asani at the same time: "They may want to combine the final vote with the documents given by Persepolis club and issue the vote after the final summary. Because the model of the complaints may be different, but the complaints of all three clubs are the same." These statements are made in a situation where, according to Ambassador Arjan's report, the complaint of Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak in the appeal committee led to the final verdict and acquittal of Esteghlal and Asani Club, but this verdict was not communicated to these two clubs. On the other hand, the protest of Persepolis and the presentation of new documents by this club has brought the case to a new stage. However, it is not yet clear whether the appeals committee intends to review the cases at once or whether it is merely reviewing the documents and proceedings.

What documents did the top football have?

This morning, the top football program addressed the easy case and presented new documents related to the contract status of this player. However, Abedjoy says that he has also seen the documents published in this program, but despite the new documents, he still believes that the main issue of the case has not been solved: "I saw the new documents that were published, but my opinion is still the same as before, and I believe that none of these documents have anything to do with the official registration of the termination of the easy appointment, and nothing new will happen with the publication of these documents."

Another part of Abedjoy's statement is related to the limits of the powers of the Asian Football Confederation. He said by separating the internal investigation from the investigation of the player's qualification in the Asian tournament: "The Asian Football Confederation does not decide whether it is allowed or not; They only decide whether that player has the right to participate in the matches related to him or not."

Abedjoy's statements show that, at least from the point of view of this lawyer, the new documents published by Persepolis club and in the TV program last night about the story of Yasser Asani, have not yet resolved the issue of officially registering the termination of the contract of this Albanian star. However, a definitive answer to these questions will be possible only after the case status is clarified in the appeals committee and the results of the relevant investigations are announced by the competent authorities. Until then, it is not possible to talk about the condemnation of Esteghlal, nor to consider the controversial case of Yasir Asani over.
