The trailer for Netflix's high school horror series The Body has been released just in time for horror season. The show premieres on Netflix on November 11.

This angsty teen psychodrama from creator Kevin Shepherd (No Good, Under the Bridge) takes the pressures, rivalries, and intense intimacy of high school girl friendships and treats them with almost biblical, tongue-in-cheek significance — all set against the fun backdrop of the early 2000s.

"Can a person really contact the devil?" A student asks at the beginning of the clip, to which a teacher responds that "Lucifer wouldn't be a real enemy if he couldn't be summoned, right?"

Another student appears to get a bloody nose as red liquid drips onto the classroom desk, and a curious classmate asks how to tell if Lucifer is in it. Watch on Deadline

"There will be signs," suggests the ominous answer.

The Body centers around a dance team, who try out three new girls for their team and tell them to roar like their mascots, lions. Grace Sophia Wiley stands in the middle of the trio, the girl to her right cheering casually and the girl to her left, Lisbeth (Gina Meszaros), growling animalistically. Lisbeth is invited to some kind of costume party, where starting a dance team goes terribly wrong.

As a result, the whole town starts asking the same question: "What happened to Grace?"

The girls scramble to hide what happened at their shindig, agreeing not to tell anyone they have it and also to stay away from drugs.

Tension builds throughout the school as Sara Boustani's Elise appears from what appears to be a shrink, winking at the students on the benches as she hangs limp.

The clip ends with Shirley Chen saying, "Is my friend possessed by the devil?"

The Body consists of eight episodes, starring Kristina Bogic, Sarah Bustani, Sofia Wiley, Gina Meszaros, Shirley Chen and Traitor winner Gabby Windy. Additional actors include Nnamdi Asomgha, Jackson Kelly, Orlando Norman, Emily Roman, Kyra and Fallen Pierce, Bella Nospiel and Sarah Abbott. Aimee Israel, Peter Chernin and Joss Stern are executive producers for North Road alongside Riley Cave, Gina Gammel and Sasha Ben-Harosh for Felix Kulpa.
