Ananya, the creator and host of the viral social media series 'Gaydar' is going on TV.
The actress and producer is launching a late-night variety show on Tobi called "The Anania Show," which she will host and executive produce alongside Keesha Zolar, Morgan DeFiore and Hannah Sisler.
The show, which airs November 23, is described as “a unique blend of Black Queer hilarity, sketch comedy, and passionate performance, blending elements of yesteryear's daytime and late-night talk shows into its own unique category. "The show encourages viewers to be themselves against all odds and captures the emotion of what it takes to make your dreams come true." "I'm so excited to create something like 'The Ananya Show' and finally step into the spotlight. To create something that's mine. Something I'm proud of. And to have the time of my life while doing it. I can't think of a better experience, I'm in awe!" Ananya said in a statement. "Now is the time for Black, transgender, and queer voices to be louder than ever. I promise you, if it means there's one person out there who doesn't feel alone in the world he's decided for us. I promise you, I'll scream like a banshee. Popular in Variety
Zolar added: "Anania is a force of talent and kindness, and in the world we live in we must always protect them. Dolls, but we must also produce dolls."
"The Ananya Show" was created in partnership with Palette Media.
Filmed in New York City, Gaidar is a personal street interview show where Ananya asks random people and celebrity guests about queer culture. The collection has close to 1 million followers across TikTok and Instagram.
