7,000 Works Submitted to Resistance Film Festival

A steering council meeting of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival was held with the presence of managers, and it was announced that 7,000 works have been submitted to the festival.

According to Ambassador Arjan, the meeting of the Steering Council of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival was held at Farhangsarai of Resistance with the presence of directors of various committees and departments of this period of the festival.

In this meeting, Jalal Ghaffari, the secretary of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival, explained the process of holding this event and said: "I am very happy that this festival is in the light of the loving shadow and gaze of four honorable martyrs, from the leader of the martyr of the Islamic Revolution to the martyr Salami Aziz, the martyr Sardar Alireza Soleimani and the epic-maker Sardar Alireza Tangsiri." Martyr Salami always supported the art of resistance; As time goes by, we realize more and more the oppression of Martyr Alireza Soleimani, who always supported this event. Martyr Tangsiri also generously hosted the festival for one year, and during that period, the deck of the ship became the festival's home for the first time.

The secretary of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival continued: I heard from the daughter of Martyr Salami that before the closing speech of the 18th Resistance Film Festival in June 1404, this noble martyr had read several articles in the original language about the concept of "high and sublime art" and in the end, they expressed those practical words in that gathering.

Referring to the 17th resistance film festival held on the deck of a ship in the Persian Gulf, Ghafari said: In that ceremony, when Mohammad Hossein Latifi was talking about the film "Gharib", they said that they were honored to receive the award from the commander of the IRGC. This issue shows how much the resistance film festival is connected with the martyrs and generals of the regime. I am happy that the Resistance Film Festival is indebted to the martyrs and generals of the Nizam, and I have nothing else in my heart. All the problems are related to me and if something happens, it is due to the martyr's care.

The end of judging more than 3 thousand works in the international section

Referring to the special conditions of the country and its effect on the holding of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival, Ghaffari said: Due to the special conditions of the country, the 19th festival went in a direction where different decisions were made about how to hold it, but thanks to the grace of God and the blessings of the martyrs, we are on the verge of holding this great event. In this year's festival, we have 20 feature films that have been produced in this year and their works have been delivered to the festival. Of these, five or six films have not participated in any festival so far. In terms of quality and quantity, we have received good works. We also had innovations in the international sector and the presence of foreign works is very prominent. The judging of this section has ended and we have many works at our disposal, which include short and long films. Of course, the main focus of these works is on the issue of Gaza and Palestine.

Emphasizing the necessity of expanding the activities of the festival outside of Tehran, he said: We must define a series of provincial events. The issue of justice in holding the festival is to provide access to audiences in different provinces.

In the continuation of the meeting, Jalal Ghaffari, referring to the future programs of the festival and activities related to the resistance culture, said: "The secretariat of the festival has become permanent, and we are proudly ready to host the film and theater festivals of the resistance and help in holding them."

In the end, emphasizing the importance of the culture of resistance, he said: Resistance is discourse; According to Imam Shahid, this issue is a discourse that we must preserve and strengthen.

Received about 7 thousand works for the 19th festival

In the continuation of this meeting, Mohammad Ali Shujaeifard, the secretary of the scientific committee and the vice-chairman of the festival, referring to the changes in the program of the 19th edition, stated: The festival was postponed twice due to the war conditions. After the burial of the martyred leader of the revolution, many works arrived at the festival, which may provide a basis for holding targeted screenings.

Shojaei, explaining the statistics of works received in the international section, said: In this section, a total of 3 thousand and 17 works from 109 countries have been received. In the domestic section, 3,925 works have been received, of which 130 works entered the competition section and 207 works entered the screening section.

The secretary of the scientific committee of the festival added: 9 works have been received in the animation department, for which we have reserved a special hall. Posters have also been prepared for some feature films. Experience transfer workshops have been designed for this course and we have tried to use the best people to hold these programs.

In the continuation of this meeting, the managers of different parts of the festival gave a report on the execution process of the activities and the representatives of the cooperating institutions also offered suggestions for organizing this cultural event as well as possible.

Resistance film festival is a jihadist and necessary work

Sardar Ali Moqwasaz, CEO of Fatah's Narrative Cultural Foundation and Basij's Cultural Vice President, in summing up this meeting, thanked for the activities carried out and pointed out the difficulties of organizing the Resistance Film Festival and stated: The Resistance Film Festival is a very laborious work and the result of a collective effort. Holding it is obligatory and necessary, and God blesses these efforts.

He said: We hope that God will bless this work and the people involved in the festival this year. This event is a work of jihad and full of hardships, and we hope that this resistance will become more stable and one day we will see the destruction of the Zionist regime together and pray the congregational prayer in Quds Sharif behind the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.

The 19th International Resistance Film Festival will be held in Tehran in November 1405 under the direction of Jalal Ghafari Qadir and in formats and sections such as feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, screenplays, research articles, advertising items and artificial intelligence.
