Sardar Shekarchi stated that "countries in the region must get out of the powerless security umbrella of the United States", stating that Washington is unable to even provide its own security in the region, let alone provide the security of others. Continuing to rely on America's alleged security umbrella will be nothing but accepting the heavy costs of a wrong calculation and decision.
