Government Spokesperson: Between 17 Shahrivar and 15 Mehr, compared with the same period last year, gasoline consumption fell by 7%, while CNG consumption rose by 12%. The government will allocate all resources from this reduction in consumption directly to people's livelihood issues. Had gasoline consumption continued to rise at its previous pace, we would have needed more imports.

Responding to a question about the amount of gasoline saved and the revenue from the third-tier gasoline price increase, Mohajerani said: First, I thank all dear citizens, especially government employees and everyone implementing the car-free Tuesdays plan. We are moving toward public transportation, and its infrastructure is also expanding.

Fars: Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani's press conference was held today, Tuesday, October 21, 1405, in the presence of journalists and media persons.

In response to a question about the amount of savings in gasoline consumption and income from the implementation of the third gasoline rate increase plan, Mohajerani said: First of all, I would like to thank all the dear ones, especially the government employees and all the people who implement the car-free Tuesdays plan. We are moving towards using public transport and its infrastructure is also expanding.

He added: According to the statistics provided to us, in the time period of 17 September, i.e. the time of implementation of the plan, until 15 October, compared to the same period in 1404, we have seen a 7% decrease in fuel consumption. Also, the consumption of compressed natural gas (CNG) has increased by 12%.

The spokesperson of the government stated: I emphasize this issue that more use of CNG will help us to have less pollution and, of course, to save on gasoline consumption.

Referring to the way to use the resources obtained from the savings in gasoline consumption, Mohajerani said: the government will spend all the resources obtained from this 7% reduction in consumption directly for people's livelihood issues.

He stated: If gasoline consumption increased with the same slope as before, naturally we would need more imports.

In response to a question about the amount of income from the implementation of this plan, the government spokesperson noted: No specific number about the income of this plan has been published.
