Somalia's Defense Minister criticized UAE interference in the country's internal affairs, aimed at plunging it into chaos.
Somalia's defense minister criticized the UAE's interference in the country's internal affairs with the aim of destabilizing it.
According to Ambassador Arjan's report, quoted by Al-Mayadeen, Somalia's Defense Minister Ahmad Muallem Faqi emphasized that the UAE intervenes in the country's internal affairs and inflames disputes.
He added that the UAE supports political currents opposed to the federal government of Somalia. The opposition groups have foreign financial support and weapons to weaken the Somali government and hinder its efforts.
Faqi stated: Some of these currents seek to gather armed groups and weapons inside the capital of Somalia. The government will never allow their political goals to be achieved or the country's stability to be shaken by using force.
He said: Government forces gathered one of these armed groups consisting of 260 members in Mogadishu.
Somalia's defense minister had previously mentioned the meeting between the opposition figures of this country in Abu Dhabi.
