Cut Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Epilogue Seemingly Teases Prequel Assassin's Creed 3
Adéwalé, the main character of Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry, also appears in the cut scene, which seemingly takes place two years after Haytham Kenway's birth, the antagonist of Assassin's Creed III.
Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry protagonist Adéwalé also appears in the deleted scene, which appears to take place two years after the birth of Assassin's Creed III antagonist Haitham Kenway.
Assassin's Creed Assassin's Creed Black Flag: Resynced Ubisoft
A dataminer has apparently discovered a half-finished cutscene buried in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and the special appearance of a character named Miko further suggests that said cutscene could serve as a teaser for some sort of Assassin's Creed III prequel.
Unfortunately, you can't watch the video for yourself right now, as Ubisoft apparently just issued a copyright strike against it. The cutscene in question, discovered by Sliderv2, shows Edward Kenway walking into a bar and talking to Miko. For context, Miko is one of the founders of the British Brotherhood of Assassins, which featured prominently in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. The scene cuts to Adewale after Miko states that he has "called out with the Muslim Brotherhood".
While Adéwalé's appearance might lead you to think it's something from Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry, which was originally included in 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, users on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours thread pointed out an interesting disc. Coincidentally, the thread was "removed by Reddit filters" at the same time that Ubisoft released the Sliderv2 video.
The cutscene begins with Miko telling Edward that "the king is dead." Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced ends in 1722, and Freedom's Cry begins in 1735 - the year Edward conventionally dies. This means that the only Mico "king" that can be mentioned here is George I of Great Britain who died in 1727.

As for why this might mean that Ubisoft is planning some kind of prequel to Assassin's Creed III, this part is simple: Haytham Kenway, the antagonist of Assassin's Creed III and the son of Edward Kenway, was born in 1725.
Incidentally, the only details we have about Edward's life during this period from 1725 to 1735 come from the book Assassin's Creed: Forsaken, which is an internal diary of Haytham's life and barely covers the decade between Haytham's birth and Edward's death. That means it's free real estate as far as the Assassin's Creed canon is concerned. Plus, there's another cool wrinkle that makes this all the more relevant: Haytham personally assassinates Miko during the intro to Assassin's Creed III.
Of course, as well as this all comes together, Ubisoft must have cut this for good reason. As far as I can tell, this cutscene was not in the files for the original 2013 Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which means it was made specifically for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced... only to be removed eventually anyway.
Perhaps this means that Ubisoft has completely changed its plans, or perhaps it means that this cursor was created as a teaser for an upcoming Assassin's Creed project. For example, this cutscene may have been made early because Ubisoft enlisted Edward's voice actor, Matt Ryan, to record dialogue for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. This is just a theory on my part, but maybe we'll see a full cutscene in Resynced Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry.
