Rodan - The CEO of Hormozgan Touzi Electricity Company announced the pursuit of reforming farmers' electricity bills and reducing the limit of electricity consumption to four hours.
Rodan - The CEO of Hormozgan Touzi Electricity Company announced the pursuit of reforming farmers' electricity bills and reducing the limit of electricity consumption to four hours.
According to Mehr reporter, Hamid Saedpanah said on Friday evening at the meeting to review the problems of Rodan farmers: "In the past few days, we discussed with a number of farmers and officials about the problems of electricity and agriculture and discussed various issues.
Revision of agricultural well exploitation license
Pointing to the problems caused by the non-renewal of agricultural wells operating licenses, he added: One of the existing problems is that many farmers have not renewed their wells operating licenses and it is necessary to follow up this matter through the regional water company so that expert investigations can be carried out.
Referring to the change in the depth of the wells and the increase in the required power of the pumps, the CEO of Hormozgan Province Electric Power Distribution Company stated: For example, agriculture may have supplied its water needs with a purchased demand of 70 kW and a pump with the same power, but with the increase in the depth of the well from 50 or 70 meters to 100 meters, the previous pump no longer has the necessary power to raise the water and the farmer is forced to use a 110 kW pump.
Saed Panah continued: In such a situation, the farmer does not necessarily consume more water, but consumes more electricity to harvest the same amount of water. This issue can be pursued by modifying the conditions and reviewing the amount of demand.
He clarified: The amount of electricity consumption is calculated based on the purchased demand and the set usage hours. For example, in the bill for the month of Shahrivar, the hours of use are specified, which is calculated by multiplying it by the demand.
Pursuing the correction of farmers' electricity bills
The CEO of Hormozgan Electricity Distribution Company, referring to the follow-ups done to solve the farmers' problems, said: Mr. Falsafi was supposed to get an opportunity from the minister so that we can revise the licenses and improve the conditions.
He added: I promise to follow up on electricity bills. With the provision of access from Saturday, it will be possible to amend the bills, and people's amended bill will be the same as the previous month, that is, the same amount they paid the previous month.
The necessity of managing electricity consumption and turning off the pumps
Emphasizing the necessity of agricultural electricity consumption management, Saed Panah said: I request the farmers to be sensitive when turning on the pumps. That the water pump is on 24/7 requires attention and management.
He added: In the past, farmers had to regularly refuel and change engine oil to use diesel engines and kept the engine off at night, but now by turning on the electric pump, the pump may work around the clock, so it is necessary to be more careful in electricity and water consumption.
The CEO of Hormozgan Electricity Distribution Company continued: According to the license, the farmer may be allowed to use the pump for 12 or 13 hours a day and must keep it off during other hours. However, in the survey, even during last year's rains, some pumps were still on.
He emphasized: I request the farmers to take this issue seriously and definitely refer to the regional water company for the renewal of the exploitation license so that their conditions will be examined expertly.
The possibility of receiving independent electricity distribution for workers' houses
Referring to the issue of supplying electricity to workers' houses in the gardens, Saed Panah said: If farmers have built one, two or three workers' houses in their gardens, they can get a separate household electricity branch for these houses and not use the pump meter and water well for domestic consumption.
He added: Farmers can apply for branching according to the number of their workers' houses, and it is possible to consider separate branching for two, three or four houses. This issue should be taken into account.
Reduction of agricultural electricity consumption hours limit to four hours
The CEO of Hormozgan Electricity Distribution Company continued, referring to the follow-ups done to reduce the limit of hours of agricultural electricity consumption, and said: In the past, the limit of electricity consumption was seven hours, which was reduced to five hours with the consultations and follow-up of representatives, discussions with the minister, deputy minister and CEO of Tavanir.
He added: Last week, this issue was followed up again and the limit reached four hours, but due to cyber attacks and access not being opened, it has not yet been possible to apply it.
Saed Panah pointed out that if access is opened from Saturday, a four-hour limit will be applied from 11:00 to 15:00.
