Nuclear War Alarm Sounds in Europe: Warning of the Consequences of Confrontation with Russia
International affairs expert Fereydoun Majlesi warned of the risk of a widening nuclear confrontation between Russia and NATO, emphasizing that escalating nuclear threats could expose Europe to catastrophic consequences.
Referring to the holding of NATO's nuclear exercise in Italy, Fereydon Majlisi, an expert on international affairs, said: The reality is that the issue of nuclear confrontation is not a joke, and European countries cannot take the nuclear threat seriously or want to implement it so easily. The nuclear threat arises when a war breaks out over a serious and fundamental issue, its scope continues to expand, and eventually, everything in the country is destroyed. That the nuclear lever becomes a means of confrontation and threat anywhere in the world is a kind of dangerous issue.
He continued: Russia and the European countries are both in charge of protecting their countries and should not move towards a nuclear confrontation due to a dispute over a case like Ukraine. Such threats will create a strong reaction among liberal, libertarian, social democratic and green forces in European countries. Why, they will ask, are you threatening each other with nuclear attacks instead of sitting down and resolving your differences?
This analyst of political issues stated: Russia is so geographically large that even if they hit it with an atomic bomb, it will continue to attack from another corner and respond with atomic bombs to other cities, and then it will not make any difference to Moscow whether France or Germany are old. Europe's military and political officials may talk a lot about nuclear and military confrontation with Russia, but they don't think that this attack will be followed by a response and retaliation, which without a doubt, Europe will not be able to tolerate.
He added: Therefore, such threats will not be taken seriously, especially by European countries that claim that all their actions are based on reason, logic, reasoning, and science. Unless they increase the pressure so that the other side will have to give in to a compromise and stop this stubbornness. On the other hand, the presidential term of Ukraine has also ended and elections should be held to determine what the Ukrainian people think.
This former diplomat of our country said: Several years have passed since the independence of Crimea and a Russian-speaking community lives there. Crimea has always been a part of the Russian Federation, except for a short period. Ukraine must agree to some kind of compromise in order to save its country and nation. The Russians are also acting violently and both sides are targeting each other's infrastructure, and this brutality is truly regrettable in the 21st century.
In the end, he pointed out: Europeans, with their support for war and their threats, instead of pushing for compromise, peace and tranquility, have damaged all their civilizational claims and questioned all of them. The Russians thought that relying on their nuclear credentials, no one would dare to stand up to them, and they thought that Ukraine would not dare to resist. Ukraine also resisted with the help of Europe and others, and if it were not for the help, it would have fallen in the first two days of the war. Therefore, any nuclear confrontation between Europe and Russia will be disastrous.
