According to Mehr reporter, Mojdeh Bashirian said during the creation of a child-friendly health center at Shahada Bardestan Comprehensive Health Service Center on Wednesday morning: Children's health is not limited to health care, but providing a safe environment for education, play, vitality, reading and cultivating creativity plays an important role in their mental and all-round development.

Referring to the provision of 57 thousand 400 health services to 8 thousand 532 children in the first six months of this year, the Deputy Director of the Health and Treatment Network of Deir city added: These services are provided in the form of medical and non-medical care and with the aim of monitoring the health status, timely identification of problems and supporting the growth and development of children in comprehensive health service centers, health centers and health homes.

Describing the services offered to children, he said: thyroid screening, growth assessment through height, weight and head circumference measurement, vision and hearing assessment, breastfeeding counseling, children's development screening using the ASQ tool, oral and dental health care, prescribing supplements, teaching mothers and checking nutritional status are among the care provided by non-medical staff.

He continued: The visit and complete examination of children and babies are also done by doctors to assess their health status and follow up the necessary care and treatment measures if needed.

Referring to the creation of a child-friendly health center in Bardestan Martyrs Comprehensive Health Services Center, Bashirian noted: This center has been equipped and launched with the cooperation of Bardestan Municipality, and it can, in addition to providing a suitable environment for children, provide a context for the development of educational and cultural activities and strengthening their creativity.

He added: The cooperation of city administration and executive bodies in the field of health lays the foundation for providing more effective services to families and paying more attention to the physical, mental and developmental needs of children.

The deputy director of health and treatment network of Deir city also pointed to the presence of the director general of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents in Bushehr province during the development of this base, and expressed hope that with the support and companionship of this collection, more possibilities will be provided in the field of providing children's books, play equipment and educational and creative tools for this center.
