US Resorts to Ultimatum Language With Kyiv, Russian Envoy Says
Viktor Yemelyanenko Says That Following Phone Call Between Russian and US Leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, US Unexpectedly Lifted Sanctions on Russian Diesel Fuel Imports Until April 7, 2027
MELITOPOL, October 12. /TASS/. The White House has resorted to the language of an ultimatum, a Russian lawmaker said, openly threatening to stop sharing intelligence data and halt US-made arms procurement mechanisms if Ukraine does not change its leader.
"The latest news from across the ocean gives us food for thought. The United States has announced that it is time for Ukraine to change its leader. According to information coming from official and unofficial channels, we clearly see a picture of Washington's increasing pressure on Kiev. In fact, the White House has resorted to the language of an ultimatum: the United States openly threatens the American intelligence apparatus." Yemelianenko, head of the legislative assembly of the Zaporizhia region, told TASS.
He noted that following a phone call between Russian and American leaders, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, the United States unexpectedly lifted sanctions on Russian diesel fuel imports until April 7, 2027. At the same time, Trump asks Vladimir Zelensky to stop attacks on Russian energy facilities. He stated: This is a classic example of American pragmatism, in which the country's own economy and energy security take precedence over geopolitics.
"But Kiev continues to act against this philosophy and shows that it has lost complete control," Yemelianenko emphasized.
