Along with the start of the fifth season of Battlefield 6, Electronic Arts officially unveiled its new version of the Game of the Year. In addition to offering the original game, this comprehensive edition offers players a valuable collection of premium content, cosmetic items, and most importantly, the Ultimate Shortcut Kit.

The version of the Game of the Year has been available to enthusiasts for some time. Buyers of this version, in addition to receiving the full Battlefield 6 game, will have access to items such as a Battlefield Pro token, a special Ultimate Shortcut Kit, the contents of the Phantom Pack, as well as a new skin for soldiers.

Undoubtedly, the most important and attractive part of this collection is the Ultimate Shortcut Kit. This kit allows players to quickly unlock content related to all four main classes without having to go through the usual lengthy progression process in the game. According to Electronic Arts' official description, these shortcut packs provide instant access to base weapons, accessories, training tracks, and vehicle upgrades; In addition, some weapons and vehicles are directly available to the player with the full skill level.

More precisely, the Ultimate Shortcut Kit includes packages for four classes: Assault, Support, Engineer and Recon. Each of these packs includes seven weapons with 100% mastery, two vehicles with full upgrades, and a set of gadgets and training paths specific to the same class. In addition, two decorative items including Mortal Shriek Dog Tag and Field Training: Cross Trained are also included in this package.

The Game of the Year edition also offers buyers a BF Pro token, which includes a Battle Pass pass, the ability to skip 25 levels, and a host of exclusive rewards. In addition to these items, players will receive a new skin called Trusted Reserve for the Support class soldier in the PAX faction.

The Phantom Pack is another part of the contents of this comprehensive version. This pack provides players with four exclusive skins Crossbones, Mirage, Specter and Wraith for Phantom Squad members. Additionally, items such as the Glimmer skin for the knife, the Shrouded pack for the M433 gun, the Drop Shadow pack for the M2010 ESR weapon, and the Chimera skin for the M1A2 SEPv3 tank are also included in this set. Completing this pack will be a Death's Head Weapon Sticker, Cryptic Pendant, Operative Badge, and several XP Boosts.

The good news for users who have already purchased Battlefield 6 is that they do not need to purchase the game again. Electronic Arts has released an upgrade package called Game of the Year Upgrade with a price tag of $30, which adds all the additional content of the GOTY version to the base game.

Also, Electronic Arts is selling the Ultimate Shortcut Kit completely separately for $29.99. Therefore, players who only want to quickly unlock gear and instantly progress through the game's classes will not have to buy the entire Year Edition package.

According to the publisher's official statement, the Game of the Year version itself will not be included in the list of EA Play or Xbox Game Pass subscription services; However, EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can still experience the base version of Battlefield 6 at no additional cost.
