Can Leslie Manville do any wrong? It's certainly hard to believe—unless you're a character in his literary mystery show. In episode four, book editor Suzanne (Manville) is awakened by the police to inform her that she is the prime suspect in a hit-and-run involving her author Elliot (Jamie Blackley). Can he prove his innocence? Alexi Duggins
James Norton, who isn't exactly a famously confusing businessman (given his roles in Happy Valley and Little Lives), takes over this week's Roulette. But unlike its American counterpart, SNL UK has yet to make a mistake thanks to sharp and dazzling writing, so expectations are high. The streets will be guests of music. Priya Ellen

For Edmund Hillary (Tom Hiddleston) and the leader of the British expedition, Colonel John Hunt (Willem Dafoe), it was Mount Everest, named after a 19th-century British Raj official. But Tenzing Norgai (Genden Phuntsok), a Tibetan-Indian climber who joined them on that historic 1953 expedition, called the peak by its Sherpa name Chomolungma, meaning "Holy Mother." For Tenzing, the mountain is not so much a place to conquer as a place to connect with. As director Jennifer Peedom's film tells her story, it reaches the pinnacle of the adventure biopic and explores new angles from which to look at old themes of ambition, colonialism and class. The synopsis of this 1962 Agnes Varda classic is deceptively simple: while she awaits the results of a cancer biopsy, Florence (Corinne Marchand), a singer known professionally as Cleo Victor, wanders Paris, meeting old friends and strangers, reading tarot or going to the movies. Alternating between despair, resignation and a kind of ecstasy, however, every encounter, and even the seemingly long-term ones in between, vibrates with the life-affirming energy of the French New Wave, a movement busily reinventing form before our eyes. This is the greatest mafia movie of all time. The archetype of The Sopranos, Martin Scorsese's masterpiece of masterpieces and a film you should re-watch every few years to reset your cinematic senses. True to his iconic voice, Ray Liotta stars as Henry Hale, an Irish-Italian kid from across the street, and an "average nobody." That is, until he gets mixed up with wise men Jimmy Conway (Robert De Niro), Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci) and Paulie (Paul Sorvino) who teach him their code and show him the only way to live. EEJ
