Ready for a historic moment in women's football / Denial of a controversial rumor about the Persepolis match
The head of the VAR department denied the rumor that a camera was used during the Persepolis match.
According to "Varzesh Se", the matches of the fourth week of the Women's Premier League will be followed tomorrow evening, and in the most important derby of Kerman province, Khatun Bam and Gol Gohar Sirjan teams will face each other. For the first time in women's football, the match will be played with the help of a video assistant referee.
In this regard, Mohsen Hakim, head of the VAR department, said:
"We entered Kerman to hold the match between Khatun Bam and Gol Gohar Sirjan from the Women's Premier League series. In this game, VAR will be played for the first time in the history of women's football. There was a time when we wished that one of the men's Premier League matches would be held with the help of a video referee, and now we have reached the point where our women's football is also held with this technology. God willing, this issue will be resolved starting tomorrow."
He also said in response to the recent rumor about VAR conditions in the sensitive game of Persepolis:
"An issue has also been wrongly broadcast in the media since last night; They say that the match between Khyber Khorramabad and Persepolis was held with one camera. This is definitely wrong. Because according to the FIFA protocol to hold a tournament with VR, we must have at least four cameras; Main camera, offside left, offside right and close-up.
Hakim's explanation was completed as follows:
"That's why yesterday's game was played with 8 cameras. Sometimes there may be 18 cameras for a match, but for a scene in the same game, we may have only one camera, which will send the proof of the scene to the monitor on the side of the field to review and change the referee's opinion. For this reason, in that match, images from two angles were sent to the referee and they made the decision."
