Chabahar - Chabahar's Friday imam, in his Friday prayer sermons, criticized extreme materialism and the violation of the rights of the poor, and emphasized on strengthening faith, social responsibility, and following the life of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH).
According to Mehr reporter, Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi, in his Friday prayer sermons on the 24th of Mehr month of Chabahar, urged the worshipers to have godly piety and refrain from sin, addressed the importance of acquiring halal wealth and respecting the rights of others, and warned against the consequences of excessive attachment to wealth.
Referring to prophetic narrations, he stated: attachment to wealth and neglecting the rights of the poor can weaken individual and social faith and morals. Narrations also warn about the consequences of not paying attention to the needy and the predominance of materialistic views on life.
Referring to a narrative about the four consequences of neglecting the poor and the prevalence of worldliness, Imam Juma of Chabahar mentioned famine, oppression of rulers, treachery of agents and invasion of enemies as the harms mentioned in this narrative.
Quoting verses 6 and 7 of Surah Al-Alak, "Kalla إِنَّ الْإنْسَانَ لَيّتْغَيْ, انْ رَاهُ ستغْنِي" said: When a person sees himself without need, he may turn to rebellion and rebellion; Therefore, a purely material view of possessions and wealth cannot be the basis for true lack of need and spiritual peace.
Extreme materialism, an obstacle in the path of spiritual growth
Referring to the traditions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Commander of the Faithful Ali (PBUH), Imam Juma Chabahar warned about the consequences of excessive attachment to wealth and neglect of science and spirituality.
He stated that in religious teachings, abandonment of science and accumulation of wealth are considered as two important harms, adding: extreme materialism can distance a person from spiritual growth and true values of life.
Referring to the words of Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) about attachment to dinar and dirham, Mousavi considered this dependence as a factor for people to be trapped in the world and emphasized the need to pay attention to spiritual values along with economic activities.
Zainabi's model; A symbol of struggle and resistance
In another part of his Friday prayer sermons, the Imam of Chabahar, congratulating the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zainab Kobari (PBUH), emphasized the necessity of following the example of this great lady of Islam.
Referring to the position of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH) in the history of Islam, he stated: What is needed today for creating an epic is not gender, but Zainabi's struggle, resistance and standing. A model that can lead the way in the personal and social life of believers.
Mousavi also pointed to the parent-teacher bonding day and emphasized the need to strengthen targeted communication between families and teachers and said: "Effective interaction between the family and the education system plays an important role in educating the young generation and building the future of the country."
In the end, he honored the memory of the martyrs who protected Chabahar Friday prayer in 1391, and prayed to the Almighty God to grant them high status and patience and reward for their families.
