What Caused This Morning's Shooting at Ostay Park in Tehran?

The Tehran Police Information Center said this morning's shooting at Ostay Park in Tehran was caused by police operations to arrest two suspects involved in disturbances and creating insecurity.

The Capital Police Information Center announced that the reason for the shooting this morning in Tehran's Avesta Park was the operation of police officers to arrest two accused of mischief and creating insecurity.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, these two defendants, who previously had deprived the citizens of Tehran's air force neighborhood by showing their strength and creating terror, in their last act attacked citizens in one of the parks of this neighborhood, wounded two people with knives in the head and hands and fled from the place.

Following this incident, officers of the 6th base of Greater Tehran Intelligence Police identified the hideout and escape route of the accused in Jajrud area by performing technical and intelligence measures. Subsequently, the operation to arrest these people was carried out in Avesta Park.

According to the police, the accused were trying to escape when they saw the officers, and the officers fired in the air to stop them, and eventually both accused were arrested.
