NASA photo of the day from "Falcon 9" in pursuit of the International Space Station

In today's featured image, NASA has published an image of the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket and its passage towards the International Space Station in the sky.

In the pre-dawn sky, a Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft make their way to low-Earth orbit in these stunning images taken from the sky over Indian Harbor Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

According to Ambassador Arjan, with the start of the launch from "Space Launch Complex 40" at the "Cape Canaveral" Space Force Station, the "Falcon 9" rocket and the "Dragon" capsule are chasing the International Space Station in the 35th mission of NASA's Commercial Logistics Service.

Then the first and second stages of the Falcon 9 rocket separate and we see the spectacular sunrise.

In this launch, like other launches of this rocket, the first stage of the rocket returned to the ground and the second stage continued to move towards the International Space Station.
