Kamalvand: We Weren't Afraid of Persepolis
Khaybar's head coach spoke about the match against Persepolis.
According to Arjan's ambassador, Faraz Kamalvand, tonight, in the press conference after the match against Persepolis, said: Few matches can be remembered that have so much goal chances, excitement and movement of the ball in the penalty area of the two teams.
Stating that we had a very good start in the first half and the flow of the game was mostly in the hands of Khyber, he added: In the first minutes of the match, our players had two to three 100% scoring chances that we could have used.
The head coach of Khyber Khorramabad stated that in the second half the balance was weighted towards Persepolis and this issue is partly due to the quality of the players of this team, he continued: Persepolis has so many high quality players that when he replaces a player, his replacement is also at the same level technically.
Kamalvand stated that in the past three to four years and after the Bronco era, I had rarely seen Persepolis so fresh and ready, adding: This situation shows that a good technical staff is working in this team and they have managed to have a strong team.
The head coach of Khyber stated that I think the spectators who came to the stadium today enjoyed the football of both teams and said: Our players did not pay attention to the name of Persepolis and did not sit back against this team.
Kamalvand continued: It should be noted that Persepolis had defeated many teams in their previous matches with a difference of three to four goals, but Khyber players stood against this team with all their strength and used their abilities.
Stating that the average age of our team is very low and we have young players in the team, some of whom are 18 or 19 years old, he added: Players like Amir Hossein Farsi, Haji Timuri and Essal are talents who are flourishing.
The head coach of Khyber said: "With the process that Khyber has taken, especially in four to five matches of the second half of the season, I think we can get more points than in the first half of the season."
Kamalvand stated that it is not easy to play against high-quality players like Oronov and other Persepolis players, but Hamid was able to perform his duties well, and continued: I am satisfied with the performance of him and other players, and I believe that these young people can reach a higher level of football by continuing to participate in competitions.
Referring to the performance of the match referee, he said: In my opinion, Bijan Heydari is one of the best referees in the last two to three decades of football in the country, and I have special respect for him.
The head coach of Khyber stated that I think the referee could have announced a penalty for Khyber in one of the scenes in the penalty area, adding: In this scene, Zare pulled Masoud Mohebi's shirt and we have the pictures of this incident.
Explaining that I don't know why the video assistant referee's room didn't ask the referee to check the images, Kamalvand added: The referee may not have been able to see the scene properly in that crowd.
He reminded: In the penalty area where there are many players, it is natural that the referee cannot see all the events at the same time, and here the role of the video assistant referee's room becomes important in helping to judge.
The head coach of Khyber continued: I believe that one of the scenes could have been a penalty and referee experts can also review the images.
Kamalvand continued: Amir Hossein Farsi also believed that Masoud Mohebi's shirt was pulled, and despite this, I emphasize that my view of Mr. Heydari's refereeing is positive and I consider him an honorable, professional and honest person.
