A new report suggests that GTA 6 will be released for PC in the first quarter of 2027. At least that's what GamesBeat says, citing "sources familiar with the matter."

This means that if the leaked information is correct, we will see the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 for PC in the first quarter of the year. According to four industry sources familiar with the studio's plans, who all spoke on condition of anonymity to avoid damaging business relationships, GamesBeat has confirmed that Rockstar plans to release a PC version of GTA VI in the first quarter of 2027. "A Rockstar Games representative did not respond to a request for comment prior to publication of this article."

This means that GTA 6 will enjoy console exclusivity for between two and five months: it launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. We released the official version of the game for PC earlier this year from Strauss Zelnik. The Take-Two boss noted that while the company tends to "not do all platforms at once," he was aware of the thirst for games on non-console platforms.

The gap shows very little difference between one version and the other, however: GTA 5 was released in September 2013, while the PC version (after initially planning to have a simultaneous release) was delayed until April 2015. Red Dead Redemption 2 was released for consoles on October 26, 2018, but a year later (November 5, 2019). Of course, Rockstar hasn't confirmed that this is an actual PC release date, so take this all with a grain of salt for now.
