Russia has supplied energy resources worth more than 320 billion dollars to Europe since 2022 - Novak
Thus, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, this figure is even higher than the figure previously mentioned by the American side, which estimated the cost of Europe to supply equipment from the Russian Federation at 250 billion dollars.
Moscow, October 12. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with the Vesti news program: Russia has supplied Europe with energy resources worth more than 320 billion dollars since 2022.
He said: "This figure for the period of 2022 is 320.7 billion dollars, which is the total volume of energy resources to the EU countries.
Thus, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, this figure is even higher than the figure previously mentioned by the American side, which estimated the cost of Europe to supply equipment from the Russian Federation at $250 billion.
As for 2026, according to Ministry of Energy statistics, $21.3 billion of energy resources have already been supplied to Europe in the first nine months alone, Novak noted.
Novak emphasized that Russia continues to fulfill its contractual obligations. He said: "It is not our fault that the share of exports to the European Union has changed significantly in recent years. However, we supply what our European counterparts want."
The Deputy Prime Minister also stated that the supply of more Russian diesel fuel to global markets, including the United States, will help to balance the complex situation caused by the problems of the Strait of Hormuz and the reduction of global refining capacity.
"Today, we have the capacity to provide more supplies to the world's markets, including the US market, to help balance the situation, which is currently very complicated due to the Strait of Hormuz issues and the overall reduction in global refining capacity caused by disruptions in infrastructure and logistics," Novack said.
He noted that the price of oil has almost doubled and the extra supply from Russia is already having an impact. "These additional supplies from Russia to global markets will allow for increased volumes and help to balance the supply and demand side. The Deputy Prime Minister added: We are currently witnessing this issue in the global markets, where the price of diesel has decreased by approximately 5-6%.
