According to the report of Arjan Ambassador of Ardabil province, Mirhamid Sediqmohammadi, head of the Wushu delegation of Ardabil province, in the ceremony of honoring Irfan Moharrami, the vice-champion of Wushu at the Asian Games, and Hasannejadi, the coach of the province's wushu, explained the latest situation of this sport and stated: Yusef Sabri (gold medal) and Irfan Moharrami (silver medal) were the proud winners of wushu of the province in the history of the Asian Games, and this discipline was the only discipline in the men's section during the past 21 years. The head of Ardabil province's wushu board informed about the activity and strong presence of the province's teams in national competitions and added: Ardabil province's wushu is present in the premier league with two teams this year; The first team in the form of "Homeland Insurance" has participated in the competitions in the age groups of children and teenagers and won the runner-up position in the first round. Also, the youth age group team will play in the form of "Ardebil Municipality" during the next week with a completely native composition.

Sediqmohammadi pointed out the significant successes of the province's athletes in the talo division and said: In the national team selection competitions in the talo style, Ardabili wushu athletes won 13 colorful medals and also 7 national talo athletes were invited to the national team camp.

He added: The sector of traditional forms (talo) was not very prosperous in Ardabil before, but with the investments made in the last one and a half years, this field has been activated and according to the plans, over time we will see that talo will also develop on par with Sanda. Also, in this regard, for the first time in the history of the province, a 9-year-old lady from Talokar Ardabili managed to win two gold medals in traditional forms in the selection stage of the national team.

He stated: Currently, a total of 2,000 athletes are active in the field of wushu in Ardabil province, and all our efforts are to have at least two representatives from the province in the next round of the Asian Games.

Referring to the infrastructural challenges of this discipline, the head of the provincial Wushu board noted: despite the high potential of Wushu medal winning, there are problems in terms of facilities and training ground; However, with the coordination of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth, Wushu will be given to Wushu on odd days, and it is also planned that the first floor of the floor hall under the construction of Takhti sports complex will be handed over to this delegation as "Wushu House".
