Ilam - The CEO of Ilam Red Crescent Society announced two successful rescue operations in the heights of Ilam and Abdanan.

In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Hamzeh Mohammadi Moghadam announced the implementation of two simultaneous, difficult and successful rescue operations in the mountains of the province and said: During these missions, Red Crescent rescuers managed to save the lives of a 54-year-old man in the heights of Shelet Abdanan and a 38-year-old woman in the heights of Cheshmekabud.

Referring to the round-the-clock readiness of the rapid response and mountain rescue teams, he said: During the past hours, the rescuers of the Red Crescent population in two different geographical points of the hard-to-pass heights of the province, started breathing operations, and fortunately, both missions were successfully completed with the speed of the forces.

In describing the first operation in the south of the province, he said: After receiving a report of a 54-year-old man falling from a height in the difficult heights of the "Shelt" area of Abdanan, the operative team of the Murmuri rescue base was immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. Red Crescent forces reached the injured after navigating rocky and difficult paths. Due to the fact that the person had severe trauma in the neck and back area, pre-hospital measures, splinting and physical stabilization were performed, and the injured person was transferred to the safe area following the technical principles and handed over to the emergency personnel.

Mohammadi Moghadam also clarified about the second operation in the provincial capital: At the same time, a report of a 38-year-old woman's condition and severe weakness in the mountainous heights of Cheshmekabod region was received by the Operation Control and Coordination Center (EOC), and the specialized team of the Ilam Mountain Rescue Base immediately went to the region.

He added: The rescuers reached the lady's bed after crossing the steep and rocky slopes and after stabilizing her general condition and vital signs, they took her to the bottom of the heights with a basket and handed her over to the emergency medical staff to complete the treatment. Fortunately, her general condition is favorable.
