Zanjan Deputy Governor Stresses Role of Books in Strengthening Social Cohesion

The Deputy Governor for Political, Security and Social Affairs of Zanjan Province, stressing the importance of holding cultural events amid difficult economic conditions, described the 11th Zanjan Book Fair as an opportunity to honor the country's scientific and literary heritage and promote a culture of reading in society.

According to the report of Arjan's ambassador from Zanjan, Ali Sadeghi, on the sidelines of the 11th Zanjan Book Fair, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the organizers of this event: holding a book fair is not an easy task despite economic restrictions and difficulties; However, the follow-ups provided the basis for the establishment of this cultural event.

He considered the book as one of the most important means of transferring knowledge and preserving the cultural heritage of the country and added: The works left by scholars, professors and scientists are considered part of the scientific and cultural capital of Iran, and the presentation of these works in the book fair is an opportunity for those interested to get to know more about the intellectual and literary treasures of the country.

Political, Security and Social Vice Governor of Zanjan also referred to the history of cultural activities in Khodabande city, mentioned the lasting measures of this city, including the foundation of the conference honoring elites, and emphasized the necessity of continuing the programs that help to introduce the scientific and cultural capacities of the regions.

Congratulating God's Day and appreciating the holding of this cultural event, Sadeghi said: The presence of culture and art in society is the basis for the growth of knowledge and wisdom, and paying attention to cultural activities can help strengthen social capital.

In another part of his speech, he appreciated the members of Islamic councils, municipalities, cultural and artistic activists, professors and artists participating in holding the exhibition and considered the role of cooperation between different collections to be important in the realization of cultural programs.

The deputy governor of Zanjan further called solidarity and empathy among the necessities of the current situation and said: unity and empathy are important factors for victory and overcoming difficulties and can be the basis for achieving peace and freedom.

The 11th exhibition of publishers of the country was held from 18 to 24 October this year at the permanent place of Caspian International Exhibitions in Zanjan.
