Lamari to Testify as Witness / Mbappé's Mother Cleared of Major French Football Scandal

Fayza Lamari, mother of Kylian Mbappé, is due to appear as a witness in the controversial case of Mohamed Sanhadji.

According to "Verzeh Se", the French newspaper Ekip informs that Faiza Al-Amari, Kylian Mbappe's mother, has been saved from being officially accused and is currently being protected as a witness in the case known as the Sanhadji case. Sanhadji, a former police officer who was responsible for the security of the French national team, has shaken the foundations of French football by revealing this case.

Marc Leplonjon and Sebastien Targo report that "Faeze El-Ammari was questioned by three investigators in the context of the Momo Sanhadji case and was given the title of protected witness. Real Madrid player Kylian Mbappe also testified". The term "protected witness" in France means that there is evidence that makes it possible that he participated in the events under investigation, but at this stage, the investigators do not have enough serious evidence to formally charge him.

Mbappe's mother has been accused of asking Sanhadji to intervene on his behalf to obtain four visas. Mbappe donated €60,300 to Mohamed Sanhadji in June 2023. This amount was paid from his bonus for the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar. A month later, he traveled to Cameroon with Mbappe's mother, while staying in his father's country of birth. Investigators are trying to determine whether the trip was a paid private mission and whether the mission was related to Sanhadji's position as a police officer.

Franck Ribery, Noel Loughra, Philippe Diallo and comedian Jamel Debose are among the figures questioned by the IGPN (Inspector General of the National Police) in the context of the Sanhadji case. Momo Sanhadji, the keeper of the secrets of the French national team players for two decades, has been prosecuted for embezzlement, corruption, and abuse of power.

The team informs that this investigation has so far led to an inspection at the headquarters of the French Football Federation and at the home of Faiza Al-Amari, Mbappe's mother and representative. Investigations show that this French police officer, according to the IGPN (General Inspectorate of the National Police), created a wide network in the world of football and sometimes used it for his personal gain.

He used a "culture of lies" and tried to gain the support of his superiors to advance his career by offering special favors, favors to players, and small gifts. At that time, Colonel Momo approached around fifteen players, including Yann Emuilla, Sabri Lamouche, Hugo Lloris, Raphael Varane, Patrick Vieira, Willy Sanyol, Nicolas Anelka, Matteo Gundozi, Laurent Blanc and Kylian Mbappe, and asked them for a loan. The total loan amounts reached 215,000 euros. He told all the donating players that it was a little secret and shouldn't be revealed because "otherwise, I'm dead."

When Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation, was questioned by investigators, he did not try to support Sanhadji. He argued that his behavior contravened the federation's code of ethics and conduct, which prohibits its officers from "promising, offering, accepting, soliciting or receiving gifts or other benefits, whether actual or implied." Unless they have a symbolic or insignificant value.

A year after the judicial investigation began, which may reveal other secrets, knowledgeable observers no longer doubt that the public interest mission was, in fact, a cover-up.
