Need to Address the Parking Shortage at Kashani and Hajer Hospitals in Shahrekord

The Deputy Chair of the Shahrekord City Council, stressing the need to address the parking shortage at Kashani and Hajer hospitals, called for a balanced distribution of medical centers and a long-term plan to develop health infrastructure and reduce citizens' difficulties accessing medical services.

The vice-chairman of the Islamic Council of Shahrekord emphasized the need to solve the lack of parking in Kashani and Hajar hospitals, and called for a balanced distribution of medical centers and the formulation of a long-term plan for the development of health infrastructure and reducing the problems of citizens' access to medical services.

According to the news report of Ambassador Arjan of Chaharmahal and Bakhtilari province, Mohammad Reza Bayati, Vice Chairman of Shahrekord Islamic Council, in the 442nd meeting of the council, in the presence of officials of the University of Medical Sciences and Kashani Hospital, emphasized the need to solve the parking problems of Kashani and Hajar hospitals, balanced development and appropriate distribution of medical centers, and developing a long-term plan to improve health infrastructure in Shahrekord.

Referring to the construction case of Hajar Hospital, Bayati stated: This case has been referred to the official expert in the Article 100 Commission to review compliance with the three principles and verify the strength of the case, and after the expert's opinion is announced, it will be possible to issue a decision within the framework of legal regulations.

He considered the provision of hospital parking as one of the important issues in the easier access and carelessness of the citizens to the places of medical services and added: the lack of parking space creates problems for patients and their companions. Using the investment capacity of the private sector and public participation can be effective in providing financial resources and building the required parking lots; An issue that requires the joint follow-up of the municipality and the University of Medical Sciences and the cooperation of other organizations. Of course, by taking into account the proposal of the master plan consultant regarding the creation of a suitable square instead of the Revolution Stadium with public urban uses, including parking on floors below the level, a garden and a place to hold public ceremonies and the services needed by patients and their companions and the provision of other services, the severity of the problems can be reduced and proper organization can be created at this point.

The vice-chairman of Shahrekord Islamic Council, emphasizing the necessity of balanced distribution of medical services, said: The concentration of medical centers in one area, in addition to aggravating traffic problems, can also be considered from the point of view of passive defense. The development of specialized centers in other areas of the city, Rahmatieh area, next to Resalat Hospital can facilitate the access of residents of these areas and surrounding cities to medical services.

He added: The people of New Ahi and the West of Shahrekord should have a clear share in urban development planning and their medical needs should be taken into account in major decisions. Establishing medical centers in this area, while reducing the pressure on existing hospitals, prevents unnecessary trips of patients to other parts of the city and provides fairer access to specialized services.

In another part of his speech, the vice-chairman of Shahrekord Islamic Council considered it necessary to compile a comprehensive plan for the organization of the Kashani and Hajar hospital complex, and examine traffic-free communication solutions, including the creation of a tunnel between the two Kashani and Hajar hospitals, and said: solving the problems of these complexes is not limited to temporary measures, and solutions such as the construction of multi-storey parking and the organization of access routes should be followed in the form of a long-term plan.

In another part, Bayati also stated by referring to the capacity of lands belonging to the municipality: Determining the ownership of these lands and protecting the legal rights of the municipality can provide the basis for proper exploitation of them for the construction of parking lots, nursing homes and other public infrastructures. In this direction, in addition to maintaining public interests, the possibility of creating added value through the principled management of urban lands should also be investigated.

Referring to the reopening of the Abu Dhar crossing and the changes made in urban plans, he said: Decisions in this field should be made according to the status of acquisitions, the legal rights of the municipality, the rights and conditions of the owners, and the restrictions caused by the changes in the master plan. Changing the routes and limiting the development capacities in some areas has increased the necessity of re-examining the implementation solutions.

Bayati emphasized: Reopening the Abu Dhar crossing can help improve urban communication and facilitate access in this area. Therefore, it is necessary for the municipality to carefully examine the legal, technical, and economic aspects of the matter in cooperation with the vice-chancellor of urban development and related consultants. Any executive agreement or decision should be made based on clear commitments, compliance with legal rights, and protection of citizens' interests, in order to prevent violation of the rights of the municipality and citizens, and to provide the context for the coordinated development of this area.

In the end, Bayati appreciated the efforts of Kashani Hospital and other medical centers in Shahrekord, emphasized the cooperation of the responsible institutions and city management to remove legal and executive obstacles and called for coordinated planning to improve medical infrastructure, improve citizens' access and balanced development of services at the city level.
