Rural Development Must Not Be Limited to Construction Projects Alone

Mazandaran Governor said: Rural development must not be limited merely to implementing construction projects. Instead, it should be built on an economic model suited to each region's capacities, advantages and capabilities, creating sustainable employment, raising rural household incomes and keeping populations in villages.

The governor of Mazandaran said: The development of villages should not be limited to the implementation of construction projects, but by formulating an economic model appropriate to the capacities, advantages and capabilities of each region, the ground for creating stable employment, increasing the income of rural households and the longevity of the population in the villages should be provided.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan from Mazandaran, Mazandaran Governor Mehdi Younesi Rostami, in a meeting with Ali Aghamohammadi, a member of the Expediency Assessment Council and secretary of low-income areas of the Ministry of Interior, emphasized the need to adopt a comprehensive and program-oriented approach for the development of the province's villages and to improve the livelihood and welfare of the villagers.

In this meeting, which was held with the aim of reviewing development plans and the progress of Mazandaran's rural systems, issues such as water supply, organizing rural infrastructure, creating sustainable job opportunities, specializing in rural economic activities, attracting capital and utilizing the capabilities of the digital economy were discussed and exchanged.

In this meeting, the governor of Mazandaran emphasized the necessity of the link between the development of infrastructure and the economic prosperity of the villages, and stated: The development of the villages should not be limited to the implementation of construction projects, but by formulating an economic model that fits the capacities, advantages and capabilities of each region, the basis for creating sustainable employment, increasing the income of rural households and the longevity of the population in the villages should be provided.

Mehdi Younesi added: specialization of villages based on native capacities, supporting productive investments, strengthening the production and supply chain of products and using the opportunities of the digital economy can create a new path for empowering rural communities. In this direction, the coordination between the executive bodies and taking advantage of people's participation will play a decisive role in realizing the development goals of the province.

He also emphasized the importance of speeding up the organization of basic infrastructure, especially water supply and improving public services in villages and said: planning for development and development of rural systems should be done in such a way that, while removing deprivations, the economic capacities of different active Mazandaran areas and the fair benefit of villagers from development opportunities are provided. This system is supposed to be unveiled next Wednesday, and the introduction and start of information about it will also take place in Mazandaran.

This meeting was held in order to strengthen the coordination between the Mazandaran Governorate and the national programs of depriving and empowering underserved areas, and the development of rural systems, the promotion of public services and the creation of stable economic conditions for the villagers were among its main axes.
