Presale of Fardamotor Vehicles Banned! New Customers' Money Used to Pay Old Customers' Obligations!

The customer paid years ago, inflation has eaten away at the value of the money, and in exchange for the delay they receive only 3 percent interest, sometimes six months after delivery. This unfair arrangement, along with price increases made without permission from the Competition Council and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, and the extraction of waivers of complaints, paints a picture of complete lawlessness in the car market, which the judiciary has now entered so that the company's responsibility for its obligations remains in force.

According to economic reporter Safir Arjan, while thousands of customers of Farda Motors have been waiting for their cars for years behind the wall of repeated promises, this company continues to hold new cash and installment sales plans with shorter delivery dates and even 60 days.

Hojjat-ul-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Khalili emphasized in the meeting of the specialized working group to investigate this case with the presence of the heads of justice of Tehran, Golestan, Semnan and Yazd provinces: In case of violation and creation of new obligations, the matter will be pursued through competent authorities and if legal conditions are met, criminal actions will be taken. A case with around 9,000 delayed cars in four provinces has become a symbol of bad faith in the car market.

Violations and defaults of Farda Motors

Since 1402, the Farda Motors dealership started pre-selling cars with a delivery date of 120 working days, but out of 782 cars whose delivery date had passed, only 350 cars were delivered in 1404, and 432 cars remained under the company's commitment, and the business model of this company based on sales with promises, delivery with delays has been repeated for years.

While many of the audience of Ambassador Arjan have criticized Farda Motors company's bad promises and stated that according to the announced date of the contract, the cars were supposed to be delivered between 90 and 150 working days, while he has 24 months and even more in his work record. Previous obligations are still pending.

Every protest, a new promise; How many times?!

But one of the most serious criticisms is that Farda Motors, in a situation where it has many outstanding obligations, continues to hold new sales plans in cash and installments with shorter delivery dates of even 60 days, and this means a new source of money to cover old obligations, a pattern similar to a Ponzi scheme in which the money of new customers is spent on previous obligations.

But in order to issue an invitation to deliver delayed cars, this company takes a written commitment from customers to waive legal complaints, which not only has no legal legitimacy, but also has brought the trust of the applicants to the abyss of distrust.

From June to February, in various schemes, without permission from the Competition Council and the Ministry of Privacy, Farda Motors was attracting customers by claiming to sell at the previous year's price online, while the customers, in addition to paying additional costs such as insurance policies, government debt, scrapping fees, receive a meager interest of 3% for delay; According to previous customers, interest is sometimes paid up to six months after the delivery of the car.

Therefore, the money that the customer paid years ago has lost its value in inflation, and on the other hand, the lack of spare parts and the limited network of dealers have put even the customers who have received their car in trouble. For this reason, the gathering in front of the agencies and the company's office and the sit-in of customers in the agencies and campaigns with more than 1,700 signatures against this company or the gathering in front of the ministry of silence with complaints of repeated violations of commitments and misuse of people's financial resources show this.

However, it is necessary to determine precisely how many cars can be produced and delivered in what time frame, and the company's schedule must be developed based on accurate calculations and actual production capacity so that the process of implementing commitments can be followed and the necessary information is provided to the public. His obligations remain in force. But the important question here is why the Ministry of Security still allowed Farda Motors to hold a new sales plan; Even though the previous obligations were pending? A case in which the gathering in front of the dealerships, customer sit-ins, a campaign with more than 1,700 signatures, and a protest against the Ministry of Privacy, none of them could stop the continuation of the bad faith cycle, until the judiciary intervened. The Farda Motors case is not just a case of corporate misconduct; It is a test for the country's regulatory system, which ranges from pre-sale with a 120-day promise to delivery with a 24-month delay, from new sales in the shadow of pending obligations to getting signatures regardless of complaints, from price increases without permission to a lack of parts and a limited dealer network, all of which are gathered in one company.
