God of War III Knack 2 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

As Sony moves towards an all-digital future, it's scary to see a handful of its first-party games suddenly disappear from the PlayStation Store without warning. Fans have noticed that some PlayStation Studios games in various regions, including Knack 2, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and God of War III: Remastered, have apparently been removed from the list, all apparently due to a pricing error.

Right now, if you search for any of these games on the PlayStation Store in North America, they won't show up at all. Fortunately, if you've already purchased the game, you can still download it from your collection. As for God of War III, it appears that the game may be listed at an incorrect price (approximately 50 cents) on the Mexican PlayStation Store. So it looks like Sony has pulled each of them from the store until it figures things out. We've reached out to Sony for clarification and will update this story if we hear back.

If it's just a technical issue that needs to be addressed, that's a relief. However, as Sony tries to wean the video game industry away from physical discs and seriously release games through its digital store starting in 2028, this is a solution. It's a very disturbing reminder that the company has the power to remove games from that store with the touch of a button. May God forbid that the world continues for a long time without the urge to play Knack 2. Plus, if Naughty Dog is (unfortunately) working on a new Uncharted, people will have to go back and play those original games at some point.
