Forecast of autumn rains in Tehran until November 17 / rain and storm on the way to Tehran / possibility of autumn snow in the heights of the capital

The General Directorate of Meteorology of Tehran province announced the decrease of rainfall until October 26, the increase of rainfall from the western regions at the end of this period, as well as the experience of autumn cold from mid-November and emphasized the need to prepare against floods.

According to Ambassador Arjan, according to the data of the Meteorological Department of Tehran Province, until October 26, rainfall is expected to decrease, especially in the northern and eastern regions, but at the end of this time period, an increase in rainfall will begin in the western regions, and in the next three weeks until November 17, 1405, rain waves are expected to pass over the province and increase rainfall from the long-term average. This increase in rainfall will be more noticeable in the northern parts.

Ambassador Arjan wrote: During the fifth and sixth weeks, there is an expectation of moderate rain waves from the province, and for these two weeks, normal to above normal rainfall is expected.

Since if the rains at the beginning of the season are extensive and widespread, the necessary preparations to face the change of season and the occurrence of meteorological phenomena and to prevent damage may not have been fully completed, it is necessary to make timely notifications so that damage and damage do not occur due to the occurrence of weather hazards.

Also, there is the possibility of flooding in some places and the flow of runoff and even the runoff with mud and sediments accumulated on the surface of the earth. Therefore, from the point of view of the possibility of flooding and bringing mud and waste with it, there is a possibility of various damages and injuries in the urban and non-urban areas of the province, which requires planning and preparation of executive bodies.

On the other hand, during the rains of the coming weeks, atmospheric instabilities will cause lightning and strong winds and thunderstorms in some hours; So even the occurrence of lightning and hail is expected. Therefore, the risk of damages caused by storms, such as losing balance, falling, throwing and breaking objects, trees, etc., increases, and necessary measures should be taken to reduce damage.

Temperature forecast in Tehran for the next six weeks

In the first and second weeks, the average air temperature of the province is expected to be higher than normal, and in the third to sixth weeks, the average air temperature of the province is expected to be between normal and below normal; So that in the fourth and fifth weeks, the temperature drop in the northern and southern regions can lead to temperature stress and early autumn cold.

Therefore, there is not only the possibility of frostbite and damage to agricultural and garden crops, but it also requires vigilance and constant monitoring of temperature changes in various sectors of agriculture, animal husbandry and related industries. In order to manage energy carriers such as gas, electricity and diesel fuel, necessary preparations must be made and operational planning should be done considering critical conditions.

On the other hand, these conditions, with the intermittent passage of rain waves and dynamic instabilities over Tehran province, can promise cold rains and even snow, especially in the northern half of Tehran province.

In all regions of the province, especially in the northern parts during rains and thunderstorms and in the southern parts during strong winds and dust, reducing presence in the open air and observing safety and breathing precautions should be taken into consideration. While waiting for the occurrence of atmospheric instabilities, avoid being in high places and places prone to flooding, and take full caution when crossing mountain paths. People with allergies and asthma should reduce exposure to allergens during periods of exacerbation of symptoms.

Due to the forecast of higher than normal temperatures during the next week in the major part of the province, especially in the southern half, emphasis is placed on irrigation management, heat stress reduction, pest monitoring and livestock and poultry care.

From the second week onwards, in the entire province, especially in the northern half, the timing of agricultural operations, runoff management and disease monitoring are important due to intermittent rainfall. It is necessary to prepare for runoff management, prevent soil erosion, watershed management, and maximum storage and use of effective rainfall. Also, the drainage of fields should be prepared to prevent flooding.

- Preparing for floods: dredging drains, canals and rivers, cleaning waste, rebuilding dams, dams and drainage networks. Preparation in high-risk basins, especially areas with a history of flooding, should be more appropriate.

- Operation of dams: daily monitoring of the entrance to the dams, water storage if there is capacity, control of sedimentation and planning of gradual release of water in case of flood should be done to control the flood, and it is necessary to pay attention to muddy runoff and debris that can disrupt water intake.

- Artificial feeding of aquifers: rains should be used continuously to feed aquifers and this action should be done with pre-treatment and sediment control to prevent clogging of waterways.
