The Emirati tanker exploded in Hormuz
According to Manchusint report, the giant Emirati oil tanker "ST3" was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz. The post of the Emirati supertanker exploded in Hormuz appeared first on Safir Arjan.
According to Ambassador Arjan, according to Osint's report, a very large oil tanker (VLCC) belonging to the United Arab Emirates was hit by a projectile today in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.
This incident occurs while the tensions in this vital waterway have greatly increased.
According to the received information, the oil tanker MT ST 3 with international registration number IMO 9220964 was targeted in the Strait of Hormuz today, October 16, around 17:45 GMT.
The Ministry of Transport of India also confirmed the incident and announced that this vessel was carrying 15 Indian sailors. Fortunately, so far, there have been no official reports of casualties or injuries to the crew.
Based on marine tracking data, MT ST 3 is a 302,977 ton bulk tanker built in 2002.
The length of this vessel reaches 333 meters and it is registered under the flag of the Marshall Islands. Its registered owner is SAFEEN TANKERS 48 LTD and its commercial manager is SAFEEN FEEDERS, both based in the United Arab Emirates.
It is noteworthy that the automatic identification system (AIS) of this vessel has been off since about 18 days ago.
The last signal received from this vessel dates back to around August 26, and after that no data of its position has been transmitted. The silence of AIS in the situation where the tensions in the Strait of Hormuz have reached their peak increases the uncertainties surrounding this incident.
