Trump blamed Zelensky for the increase in global oil prices

Accusing Volodymyr Zelensky of not having a real will to reach an agreement with Russia, Donald Trump claimed that Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil refineries have caused an increase in global oil prices.

Ambassador Arjan-International Group: In his latest statements about the war between Russia and Ukraine, US President Donald Trump called Vladimir Zelensky the reason for the increase in global oil prices and said: Zelensky is "not a good person to interact with" and even though he talks about the desire to reach an agreement, he does not actually want to reach an agreement.

He also considered the personal enmity between Zelenskiy and Russian President Vladimir Putin as a serious obstacle to reaching an agreement.

The American president emphasized that this conflict should end soon and claimed that Ukraine needs to hold new elections in war conditions.

These statements are made in the continuation of several months of tensions between Trump and Zelensky; The tensions that became one of the most controversial moments on February 28, 2025, in the meeting of the two presidents in the Oval Office of the White House, were seen in front of the media cameras. In that meeting, Trump and J.D. Vance, the vice president of the United States, repeatedly interrupted Zelensky's words and accused him of being ungrateful for the support of the United States and not being ready to reach an agreement with Russia.

A public dispute led to an early end to the meeting, and an agreement that was supposed to be signed on Ukraine's mineral resources did not come to fruition.

In recent days, Trump has also called for the change of the president of Ukraine and has attributed the country's attacks on Russian oil refineries to the increase in fuel prices.
