EXCLUSIVE: Radial Entertainment has had a busy week on the Croisette and has just capped it off with another order.

Universal Distribution has greenlit the third season of its original series Making a Serial Killer, a true-crime series that looks at what shaped the world's most notorious serial killers. Through the testimonies of the victims and the law enforcement officers who stopped them, the story reveals the killers' harrowing story.

The season is produced in partnership with UK FirstLook Studios (fka FirstLook TV) and Radial will receive rights in the US, Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The ten-episode series will air on FilmRise channels and other stateside platforms on December 1. "We are focused on creating true crime franchises with international appeal, and FirstLookStudios has been a fantastic partner in making that vision a reality," said Cristina Gugino, VP of Originals and Content Partnerships at Radial Entertainment. Watch on Deadline

"Making a Serial Killer fulfills this strategy by exploring the killer's mind without losing the human touch. We are excited to bring Season 3 to audiences across the United States, Canada, Germany, Austria and Switzerland."

"Making a Serial Killer About 'Why'" FirstLook Studio's Steele Hanrahan added: "This is a proven winner with True Crime audiences and our partnership with Radial is one we value as an example of extraordinary editorial, commercial and strategic collaboration."

Katie Carroll and Gugino are executive producers for Radial and Harhan is executive producer for FirstLook Studios alongside Graham Smiles and Rachel Boehring, series producers.

The multi-territorial deal was negotiated by Carroll, principal and business development director at Radial, and Lucy Middlebaugh, commercial director at FirstLook Studios. The pair have been partnering since their inception.

For Radial, this news is the third announcement this week at MIPCOM. Yesterday, it ordered new episodes of Forensic Files to US studio ITV and Content Partners, news that comes after it acquired the rights to Season 4 of World's Most Wicked Prisoners and resurrected A Haunting at New Dominion Pictures.
