The head of transport commission of Tehran Chamber of Commerce said: Iran's exports to Pakistan have been temporarily stopped due to bank sanctions, on the other hand, imports from Pakistan to Iran continue.
Peyman Sanandji, the head of transport commission of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, in a conversation with Mehr reporter about the latest situation of land trade between Iran and Pakistan, said: Yesterday, a fake letter was republished regarding the closure of one of the common border crossings between Iran and Pakistan, but such a letter is not true.
He added: According to the latest available information, the common land trade border between Iran and Pakistan is not closed, but Pakistani importers must submit an electronic import form to their banking network for the cargo they import from Iran.
Sanandji stated: Due to the embargo on Iranian banks and the country's banking system, this process has become difficult and has created problems for Iran's exports to Pakistan and Pakistani importers who source their shipments from Iran.
Iran continues to import from Pakistan
He reminded: On the other hand, there is still the possibility of continuing imports from Pakistan to Iran, and it should be determined to what extent the Pakistani side will cooperate to continue this process.
In the end, the head of the transportation commission of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce pointed out: if the restrictions caused by the sanctions on Iran's banking system continue and it is not possible to carry out the required banking processes, Iran's exports to Pakistan will practically stop.
