Tesla unveiled the new "Roadster" car

Tesla on Thursday unveiled its long-delayed next-generation electric sports car, the Roadster. The post Tesla unveiled the new "Roadster" car appeared first on Safir Arjan.

According to Ambassador Arjan, this unveiling took place almost a decade after Tesla started accepting advance payments for this electric sports car.

The event was broadcast live from one of SpaceX's test centers in McGregor, Texas, near the city of Wico.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, said: "You are going to see amazing things." You'll see what happens when the world's best car company teams up with the world's best rocket company.

The initial Tesla Roadster model, which was designed and engineered by a team headed by Martin Eberhard, CEO and one of the founders of the company, was built on the chassis of the Lotus Elise car. The delivery of this car started in 2008 and until 2012 it was sold in a limited edition and at a price of approximately 100 thousand dollars.

It is expected that the new generation of "Roadster" will also be an expensive car with a limited production run, which will use "SpaceX" technologies for the ability to remain suspended in the air. Although Musk's fans expressed their excitement about the unveiling on social media, the car is not expected to have a significant financial impact on Tesla's overall performance.

At the event, Musk and his team showed off a white sports car that sped up a curved ramp, then stuck upside down and made a high jump over it.

Tesla announced: This two-seater car can reach 60 miles per hour (about 96 kilometers per hour) in less than one second.

Musk said: The production of the new generation "Roadster" will begin in 2028. However, Tesla did not announce the price of this car and the technical details of its different versions in terms of performance levels were not released.

In recent weeks, Tesla has re-opened orders for the updated Roadster model and is charging $50,000 in advance payments from potential buyers in the US, Canada and China.

Musk first talked about the new roadster's design at an event in November 2017, and provided more details in a series of messages on the X social network in June of the following year. He wrote at the time: The SpaceX option package for Tesla's new Roadster includes about 10 small rocket boosters that are integrated around the vehicle. These engines improve the vehicle's acceleration and braking performance and may even allow a Tesla to fly.

The prototype that Tesla showed on Thursday was designed with the goal of achieving the lowest possible weight. This car is equipped with a wire steering system, a yoke-shaped steering wheel and a set of technologies developed by SpaceX. These technologies include engines, carbon fiber-coated pressure tanks, and powerful fans that allow the car to perform stunts.

One of the features that Tesla did not include in its new "Roadster" model is the "FSD" system, or the self-driving system of this company. The new Roadster will be the last car the company produces designed to be driven by a human driver, Musk said.

Tesla began accepting $50,000 down payments for the new Roadster in 2017, but has since missed all of its announced delivery dates. Even in October of last year, Musk had promised to hold the roadster show before the end of 2025, which did not happen.

Sam Altman, Musk's former friend and co-founder of OpenAI, mocked Tesla's long delays in messages on the X social network last year, according to CNBC. "I was really excited for this car and I understand the delays, but the seven and a half year wait is really long," Altman wrote. Altman eventually got his money back, but some customers still kept their reservations.
