Facebook's new "Your Algorithm" feature lets you directly add and curate the topics you want to see in your Facebook feed and circles. Meta says your recommendations will respond immediately after they're updated using the new feature by hitting "like" or "like" for different topics. Your Algorithm already launched on Instagram earlier this year, and Meta launched a similar “Dear Algo” feature on Threads.

Facebook users can access your algorithm or select "Like" or "Like" from the three-dot menu on individual posts. Like and Like buttons may also appear below posts, and Meta says it “may ask follow-up questions for more details about what you like or dislike. "You can easily tell us, in your own words, what you want to see more or less of, and your recommendations will update in real time."

The new feature is part of a suite of artificial intelligence-based tools that Meta says it uses to customize what users see on Facebook. It also says it uses more LLMs in its ranking systems: "LLMs can incorporate interests, context and purpose behind natural language, unlocking an algorithm that you can actually talk to. Tell it what you want more or less, and your recommendations respond in real time, adapting in the same session to reflect what's important to you right now."
