Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have released the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave development license, which will introduce a series of DLC additions to the tactical RPG from today until 2027.
The expansion card, which can be purchased from the Nintendo eShop for $34.99 / £29.99, comes in three parts. For those who purchase it now, a selection of weapons are available to use in the game. The second part of the development passport will arrive this holiday season, and the final part will arrive in 2027.
We already know quite a bit about what's coming in these latest DLC releases. The second part includes additional costumes for the game's cast, along with three new allies: Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah.
The last part of the pass seems to be the most basic part. Introducing new stories for the game, new allies, classes and extras. These new stories make an already massive game even bigger, something that should give people a reason to come back to the RPG next year, and for those who haven't picked up the game yet, a convenient jumping off point.
Buffett Fortune has been met with critical acclaim and impressive early sales figures. Eurogamer's review described the game as "a synergy of everything that has made the series great for generations" and "a lavish celebration of a game".
