Any encroachment on the Kaliningrad region for a devastating response - the diplomat
According to Maria Zakharova, Russia will use all the tools at its disposal
Moscow, October 16. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: Any military action against the Kaliningrad region will be followed by a devastating response using all available means.
"Strategists" in Warsaw and elsewhere should not forget what Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have repeatedly stated: any armed incursion into the Kaliningrad region would be met with a devastating response, literally using all the means at Russia's disposal, and the war would be very short, the diplomat noted in a statement.
Earlier, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragon, the head of NATO's military committee, announced that the alliance does not intend to encircle Russia's Kaliningrad region.
"Let's assume, although it's hard to believe, the admiral is honest this time. What plans are being developed? For example, on October 12, General Aleksos Grinkevich, Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) gave a keynote speech entitled "Theory of Victory: How to Succeed in the Defense of Russia?" Zakharova noted.
The diplomat added: "A high-ranking NATO general announced his plans, we'll let you analyze them for yourself in Warsaw, the capital of a country that is relentlessly advancing its militarization. Let's remember that they dream of the most powerful Polish army in Europe and are designing special plans for its establishment.
Zakharova recalled that "Polish headquarters had prepared entire operational plans for pre-emptive and high-precision attacks against the Kaliningrad region 'if war with Russia becomes inevitable'." "Nothing has happened yet, but the Polish cavalry are already going into battle in close formation," he emphasized.
"Specifically, the plan is to destroy all of our military infrastructure, primarily the Iskander and S-400 systems, our warehouses, fuel terminals, and command posts. This diplomat pointed out: For this purpose, American HIMARS missile systems and Polish Homar-K systems with missiles with a range of up to 300 km, F-16 fighters equipped with precision missiles with a range of up to 1000 km, stray ammunition and strike drones are to be deployed.
At the same time, "Polish coastal anti-ship systems and NATO air forces are tasked with blocking the Kaliningrad region from the sea."
"The goal is to prevent the ships of the Baltic Fleet from leaving their bases and disrupting supplies to the region. At the same time, the 16th and 18th Mechanized Divisions and the 1st Infantry Division of the Polish Armed Forces are planning a ground attack in the Suwalki gap. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized: Is this not just "Barbarossa 2.0"?
