Young Ahvazi Player Starts for Foolad's Comeback

The young local Foolad defender, who had a reliable performance on the defensive line in a night when he also contributed to the goal by Vahid Amiri, paved the way for his team's spectacular comeback against Malvan.

According to "Varzesh Se", Khuzestan's Folad was behind by one goal until the 88th minute of the match with Melwan and was on the verge of accepting defeat, but the dramatic return of Hamid Motahari's students changed everything. One of the most effective players at the beginning of this comeback was Amin Saedi, a young and tall defender who has found a different position in the steel team this season.

In the final minutes, the corner sent by Abolfazl Razzaqpour reached Saedi in the penalty area and he put it in front of Vahid Amiri with a good impact on the ball. Amiri also opened the goal of Sailor with a finishing shot so that Foulad could equalize in the 88th minute. This goal completely changed the course of the match and then Abolfazlzadeh Attar scored the second and winning goal for Foolad from the penalty spot.

In addition to his role in Foulad's first goal, Saedi also had an acceptable night in the defensive department and recorded eight successful defensive performances. He has gradually become one of the reliable pillars of Hamid Motahari's defense line and has played in seven out of eight matches of Foulad this season. Five regular appearances in the team show that the head coach of Foulad has special trust in this young defender.

This Khuzestan player is a product of Foulad Academy and has been in the basic ranks of this club since his teenage years. Two seasons ago, Saedi was added to the senior team with the opinion of Yahya Golmohammadi and Hamid Motahari and got his first opportunities in the matches against Golgohar and Chadormello. He also played minutes for the Steelers last season, but this year he has turned from a young player on the bench to a serious option for the starting line-up.

Saedi's presence in the team is also associated with Foulad's good defensive performance. Despite receiving five goals, Ahvazi Reds have kept their goal shut in four matches and have one of the best defensive lines in the league. Along with other Foulad defenders, Saedi has been part of the structure that has made Motahari's team one of the hardest teams in the league to score goals.

The victory in Anzali brought the Folad points to 15 and sent this team to the fifth place in the table. The Steelers are now only one point away from Esteghlal and two points away from Tractor, and the results of recent weeks have brought them closer to the contenders at the top of the table.
