The passing away of the pious scholar, Hazrat Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Zainul Abdin Ghorbani Lahiji, a former member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts and one of the scientific and religious figures of Gilan province, has caused grief.

That late scholar spent his life in the path of promoting Islamic knowledge, religious education and serving the people, and his scientific and cultural works and services will remain in the religious and social memory of this land.

While offering my condolences for this loss to the seminaries, the noble people of Gilan province, the devotees and the holy house of the deceased, I pray for the late Saeed, God's mercy and forgiveness, and for the honorable survivors, patience and reward.
