Census Costs Cut by More Than 90%

The head of the Statistical Centre of Iran announced that the 1405 population and housing census will be conducted using a register-based approach and new technologies. He said non-in-person operations will begin on 25 Mehr, and field operations will get underway nationwide from 2 Aban. Census implementation costs have so far been reduced by more than 90 percent.

Announcing that the 1405 population and housing census will be conducted with a registration-based approach and the use of new technologies, the head of Iran's statistical center said: the in-person operation of this census will begin on October 25, and the field operation will be on the agenda from November 2 across the country. Also, the costs of conducting the census have been reduced by more than 90%.
