Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan, referring to the decrease in the arrival of foreign tourists in recent months, announced the possibility of direct entry of Afghan tourists to South Khorasan and said: With the follow-up and the cooperation of related institutions, the operating license of one of the travel service offices of the province was issued to attract and enter tourists from Afghanistan, and the first group of Afghan tourists entered the province in September.
He added: Previously, the travel service offices of South Khorasan did not have the direct possibility for tourists from Afghanistan to enter, and this process was done through the offices of other provinces. But with the follow-ups, this capacity has been provided for the province.
Barabadi continued: During the trip of a delegation of Afghan provincial officials to South Khorasan, a program focused on tourism was held and the province's historical, natural and health tourism capacities were introduced to them. Also, a group of activists and Afghan tourism offices visited a number of cities in the form of a trip to familiarize themselves with the tourism capacities of the province.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan expressed his hope: by encouraging and supporting the travel service offices of the province, the number of offices licensed to attract tourists from Afghanistan will increase and this market will become one of the important capacities of tourism development in South Khorasan.
Referring to the planning for holding tourism events in the fall, he added: This year, we are planning to hold around 50 tourism events, festivals and workshops in the province. A program that, compared to the usual process of holding events throughout the year, will focus more on the fall season.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan emphasized the necessity of supporting these programs by the executive bodies and stated: the support of various bodies and the support of the management and planning organization can be effective in holding events and taking advantage of their cultural, social and economic capacities.
Managing the margins of events while strengthening social vitality
Pointing to the necessity of managing the possible consequences of large-scale festivals and tourism events, Berabadi stated: the increase in the number of events in a limited period of time doubles the necessity of more precise planning and greater coordination between the responsible institutions.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan continued: With the cooperation of all departments, the ground for holding events with the least margins and challenges and the most achievements should be provided. In this direction, it is necessary to properly manage social issues and prevent them from becoming security issues.
Emphasizing the importance of preserving the cultural identity and social values of the province, he added: tourism events, if properly planned, can help create employment, strengthen local identity, and introduce the cultural and tourism capacities of rural and nomadic areas, in addition to creating social vitality.
Barabadi pointed out: holding festivals in lesser-known areas is an opportunity to introduce attractions that have had a smaller share in the flow of tourism and can lead to a more balanced distribution of tourism benefits at the level of the province.
The presence of more than 70 camper groups in South Khorasan tourism event
In another part of his speech, the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan mentioned the beginning of the tourism event of campers and carniks in the province and said: This event has started from Ferdous city. More than 70 people who are interested in traveling with camper cars from different provinces have registered to participate in this program.

campers; A new capacity to introduce tourist attractions
Barabadi stated that apart from their attractive appearance, camper vans are considered a new capacity for tourism development, and stated: This method of travel can help to introduce the province's attractions on a wider scale; Because many tourists present in these events introduce the travel experience and sights of the destination to the audience through their pages and channels in the virtual space.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan added: Last year's experience also showed that the publication of pictures and introduction of tourist attractions of South Khorasan by the participants had a good feedback in the field of introducing the capacities of the province.
He also pointed to the ability of camper cars to provide the possibility of mobile accommodation and stated: This capacity can play an effective role in introducing lesser-known areas and developing tourism services in destinations that face limited accommodation facilities.
Organizing unlicensed tourist tours with a facilitation approach
Barabadi further considered the issue of unlicensed tourist tours as one of the important axes of the province's tourism management and said: In a joint meeting with the Chief Justice, deputies and prosecutors of the province, there was a discussion and exchange of views about how to deal with these tours and the necessity of organizing their activities.
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan, referring to the difference in the conditions of unlicensed tourist tours, added: All these tours do not necessarily operate with the purpose of violating or breaking norms, and some may conduct trips without going through the process of obtaining a license; Therefore, by adopting a proportional approach, it is possible to provide the basis for organizing the activities of these groups.
He continued: It has been suggested that in cases where tours enter the province without prior coordination, by notifying law enforcement agencies and cooperating with related agents, tourist guides should be provided to them and the process of requesting and issuing permits should be done more quickly.
Barabadi emphasized: The goal is for tourist tours to operate within the framework of rules and regulations, while benefiting from the tourism capacities of the destination, and preventing possible damages and margins.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan emphasized the necessity of synergizing executive and security agencies and pointed out: the principled management of events, the organization of tourist tours and the support of introduction programs of the province's attractions can provide the basis for the development of domestic tourism, increasing the retention of tourists, creating employment opportunities and a more balanced distribution of tourism benefits in South Khorasan.
